The Nucircle Hiking Group.
Monthly hikes in and around the UK. Coastal paths, city walks and day trips out of London. Mostly beginner to moderate.
Why we walk.
This country is quietly beautiful and most of us are too busy to notice. Between the coast paths and the ancient woodlands, the chalk cliffs and the pub at the end of a hedgerow lane, there is so much within a train ride of London that a lifetime is not enough.
We come here to slow down, to look up, to breathe out, and to do it together. Walking side by side is the easiest way to talk to a stranger. You are both facing the same direction, moving at the same speed, and the awkward silences are just called the view. Friendships that start on a walk tend to keep going.
Above all, do not lose your desire to walk. Every day I walk myself into a state of well-being and walk away from every illness. I have walked myself into my best thoughts.Soren Kierkegaard

The WhatsApp group.
What the group is for
Hike announcements and logistics. Chat before a walk, and photos and stories after. Questions about what is coming up. Ideas for routes we have not done yet. If it is about a Nucircle hike, it belongs here.
What the group is not for
Personal chats unrelated to our hikes. Events or promotions from other platforms or organisations. Sharing contact details in the group chat without consent. If you have a private idea or question, send it to us directly rather than posting it in the group.
A note on participating
Groups like this only work when people show up in spirit, not just in name. We are not asking for a post every day. But we hope you will take part when you can. A question, a photo, a thought before or after a hike. Even a small contribution keeps the group alive for everyone in it.
Send us a WhatsApp message with your name and the group or groups you would like to join.
